Lisa Hamilton, RN, BSN, CPHRM

Lisa Hamilton is a Senior Clinical Risk Consultant at Physicians Insurance. She has nearly 30 years of experience spanning clinical practice and instruction, as well as risk management. Before joining Physicians Insurance in 2017, she spent eight years at Mid-Columbia Medical Center in Oregon, most recently as its Director of Risk Management. Prior to that, she was an OB Clinical Instructor at Loma Linda University School of Nursing in California, where she began her career as a registered nurse.

During her nearly 15 years as a practicing nurse, Lisa worked across a variety of clinical areas including obstetrics, trauma, acute care, and neurosurgery. In addition to her work at Loma Linda University, she was a clinical instructor at the schools of nursing at Riverside Community College in California and Columbia Gorge Community College in The Dalles, Oregon.

Lisa holds a bachelor’s degree in Science with a major in Nursing from Loma Linda University and a CPHRM (Certified Professional in Healthcare Risk Management) designation. In 2015, she was honored as the March of Dimes Oregon Nurse of the Year, Specialty Nurse, for her work with a sepsis-simulation drill.
