We currently have an exciting opportunity for a Service Operations Specialist.

Position Summary

The Service Operations Specialist serves as a centralized internal resource for information gathering, analysis, and sharing. This role is responsible for monitoring and reporting segment, product, and account activity along with other company operational performance metrics. It proactively aligns internal teams and initiates a call to action as needed. The Service Operations Specialist also provides departmental support as needed to respond to account needs as well as supports new and renewal business activities.

Responsibilities

Responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:

  • Conducts regular analysis on account activity to provide monthly and quarterly reports on key business performance metrics. 
  • Facilitates cross-departmental communications and meetings for review and discussion as appropriate.  Initiate call to action as needed, tracking follow-up action plan execution.
  • Assist underwriting with renewal activities at designated intervals.  Prepare loss run, analysis, roster, claims reports and service engagement information.  Preparation of renewal offers, and communications as needed.
  • Provide/assist with policyholder services as needed at the direction of underwriting, risk management and/or claims.  Example services include new account onboarding, website orientation, facilitating vended risk management services.
  • Maintain external templates for frequent account engagement as well as internal FAQ’s and reference documents.
  • Support operations department projects as requested and providing back-up for colleagues as needed.
Requirements / Qualifications
  • 4-year college degree or equivalent work experience
  • 3+ years’ work experience in business support, operations, program management or related discipline. Medical malpractice, commercial lines marketing, healthcare or related insurance industry experience is preferred.
  • Demonstrated advanced skills and experience using Microsoft Office. Intermediate to advanced Excel (intermediate formulas, pivot tables, V-lookups).
  • Experience with data analysis and the ability to utilize data systems and data visualization tools in support of business decisions is preferred.

  • Strong commitment to customer service, quality, and working in a collaborative team environment.  Must be able to interact with others at all levels within and outside the company.
