Risk Consultation
An experienced member of the Risk Management team is available to provide Members with personal, on-call risk management advice on topics such as challenging patients, adverse-event management, and documentation practices. Risk Consultants are available by phone Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Pacific Time at (800) 962-1399 or via email at riskmanagement@phyins.com.
Risk Evaluation
Another place to start engaging with our Risk Management team is through a risk evaluation. With this annual evaluation you will have interactive dialogue with one of our risk consultants to establish a high-level understanding of your risk management priorities. The risk evaluation will also help you identify other services, such as a risk assessment or education, that may be beneficial to you.
Risk Assessment
This in-depth analysis can be delivered virtually or onsite and can include extensive interviews with leadership, reviews of policy and procedures, and observational tours, as well as reviews of medical staff, personnel, and medical record files. As a result of the assessment, you will receive a comprehensive report of potential risk exposures along with best-practice recommendations and resources.
Current risk assessment types include:
- General Hospital
- General Outpatient Clinic
- Risk Management Program
- Diagnostic Imaging
- Emergency Medicine
- Employment Practices (Human Resources)
- Obstetrics
- Outpatient Behavioral Health
- Pediatrics
- Surgical Services
- Urgent Care/Walk-in Clinics
